Rob Owings joined Frost & Associates, LLC as an attorney in the Securities, Estate Planning, and Tax practices areas. He has an extensive background in both the securities and estates and trusts arenas. He spent more than ten years in the securities industry as a financial advisor, as well as a manager. During that time, he built an extensive knowledge base regarding the rules and regulations of the securities industry. In addition, he was responsible for firm compliance regarding securities regulations.
Mr. Owings also spent several years in the estate and trust field. He has in-depth experience in the administration of trusts, as well as estate planning. He spent four years in fiduciary trust terminations, where he was responsible for final trust distributions in compliance with both federal and Maryland estate tax laws. In addition, he spent six years as a wealth planner, advising high-net-worth clients on complex estate and tax planning issues. During this time, he built a strong knowledge base regarding estate planning techniques and their related tax consequences.
Mr. Owings is a father and enjoys spending time with his two children. He is also a certified boxing coach with USA Boxing. He spends time training fighters and participating in amateur boxing tournaments.
